Rakesh has over 30 years of experience and is a Non Executive Director at Magi. Rakesh is also the Managing Partner at Executive Mantra Search Services, an executive search firm specialising in leadership search. Rakesh’s professional journey has traversed the realms of Banking and Financial Services, Media, and the Travel Industry.
Rakesh’s versatile background and multifaceted expertise underscore Rakesh’s valuable contributions to Magi, amplifying our capabilities in comprehending and navigating the intricate landscapes of various industries.
Prior to Executive Mantra, Rakesh served as Director for a well known executive search firm and as CEO of its wholly owned subsidiary dedicated to mid-management recruitment.
Formerly, Rakesh held the esteemed position of CEO at Mercury Travels, a part of the Oberoi Group of Hotels. His association with General Electric also brought him to the forefront, contributing his expertise to GE Capital. Notably, Rakesh’s role as CEO extended to IGE India, a General Electric Group Company, where he played a pivotal role in the establishment of the CNBC network in India. Subsequently, he spearheaded the initiation of a Hindi language TV channel, namely SAB TV. Rakesh’s initial career chapter commenced at HSBC, where he spent over a decade excelling in Corporate & Investment Banking.
